- computer programs
Thank you for the mention of my suite to yours. I'm enjoying reading your articles.
I have taken my classes into the computer room with some exceptional computer programs. I didn't have to prepare a thing! (I just needed to know the program of course) the program was utterly user friendly, the students paired and the language was just a bit above their level. Perfect, right?
I've come across all different kinds of technical problems and troubleshootings in my work from virus signs, to error messages. The hardest one to deal with by far in my opinion, is the slow Internet use during peak hours due to
old(er) computers. I have found that kids just do not have patience to wait until a page downloads or the program starts running. When this happens, the kids seem to be usually turned off by the program that it is hard to decide exactly what to do next.

In response to computer programs posted by DorSas04:
Hello, Dorit,
I have experienced the slow computer problem as well--peak times in my district seem to be 10:30 to 1:30, and it seems as if the servers stop completely! That is the worst, if you are scheduled for the computer lab; it is so hard to get in at a time when there is no class scheduled and then something goes wrong like the Internet being down! Always have a Plan B, for when this happens!
