Sharon, Technology is the big push in our school district recently. Each teacher was issued a personal, wireless, laptop/notebook last year and all high school students will be issued one for the 2006-07 school year. In-services have focused on learning how to use this latest technology. Middle school students give social studies reports on Power Point and it is amazing to see our staff learn this new technology. We've had to work through some server problems but it is working quite well. There have been challenges incorporating this into our nearly 100 year old building but it worked out. We are a small, rural district slightly under 400 students.

Technology is the big push in all the districts, rural, urban or suburban. The problem is making sure that teachers know how to use it, because you can be darn sure the kids know how!
